The Bastar Madai will spread the splendor of Bastar’s colorful art and culture

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai recently held a meeting to discuss the Bastar Dussehra festival which will last for 75 days. He emphasized the importance of organizing the festival with dignity and efficiency. The festival which started on August 4th and will continue until October 19th showcases the rich cultural heritage of various tribal communities. Detailed plans for various events during the festival were discussed including the Mudia Darbar and programs like Bastar Madai and Ek Ped Bastar Ke Deities Ke Naam. The aim is to make the festival grand and provide convenience to the people attending.

Muria Darbar

It is worth noting that in Muria Darbar, the chiefs, leaders and administrative officers of various tribal communities meet to preserve culture, tradition and practices and consider community demands and problems. This year Muria Darbar will be organized on 15 October 2024. 10 days after the Muria Darbar event, it is proposed to organize a conference of the chief priests of Manjhi, Chalki, Member, Memberin, Pujari, Kotwar, Patel, Matagudi of Bastar division.

Many innovative initiatives are being taken by the district administration on the occasion of the historic Bastar Dussehra festival. Under The Bastar Madai, the concept of “The Bastar Madai” has been prepared by the administration to make tourists aware of the natural beauty, historical and archaeological sites, adventure sites, cultural sites of Bastar.
