Provide training as per local demand to connect youth with employment: Shri Kedar Kashyap
In accordance with the intention of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, training will be given as per the demand of local industries to connect youth with employment. Skill Development Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap today reviewed the activities of skill training conducted under Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority and State Project Livelihood College Society in the meeting room located at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan.
Minister Shri Kashyap has to connect the youth and women of the state with livelihood activities by giving them maximum employment-oriented training, so that they can become self-reliant. Secretary of Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment Department, Shri S. Bharatidasan and Chief Executive Officer of Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority, Shri Rajesh Singh Rana and senior officials were present in the meeting.
Minister Shri Kashyap said that in order to establish their own employment to the trained youth, the pending cases in the division-wise bank should be reviewed at the collector level. He directed to make proper arrangements for training in courses as per local requirements in Bastar region like Bell Metal, Boss Craft, Terracotta and Tamarind, Food Processing etc. and by identifying trades as per market demand. He asked to conduct courses related to social media in view of the interest of youth towards social media and the possibility of self-employment in this field.
Minister Mr. Kashyap said that under the Niyad Nellnar Scheme, maximum number of youth should be surveyed and as per their interest, skill training should be provided in the training center near the district headquarters or their place of residence. He directed to provide training to youth of specially backward tribes under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana under the livelihood development program run by the Livelihood College or other skill training schemes. Minister Mr. Kashyap directed the officials to take necessary action regarding starting the training by ensuring quality construction of the hostels under construction in the districts of Bastar division as soon as possible.
