100 Potters Receive Electronic Wheels at hands of Chief Minister Shri Sai

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai distributed 100 electronic wheels free of cost to the potters in Bagiya village, Jashpur district. Chief Minister extended congratulations and best wishes to the artisans. On this occasion, the artisans also presented the Chief Minister with a handcrafted artwork as a token of gratitude.

Expressing his gratitude, Shri Shambhu Nath Chakravarty, State Patron of the All-India Prajapati Kumhkar Federation, highlighted that the electronic wheels would significantly enhance the potters’ craftsmanship and contribute to increasing their income. He underlined that there are 2236 potter families across 195 villages in Jashpur district, and 100 artisans among them have received these electronic wheels.

It is noteworthy that under the Pottery Terracotta Scheme of the Mati Kala Board, electronic wheels costing Rs 22,200 each are being provided to the potter artisans free of cost.
