In an important initiative towards making health services accessible to the general public in the state and providing expert treatment to the needy citizens, a free health camp will be organized from August 16 to September 5, 2026 at Vishrampur Railway Station, Platform No. 02 in Surajpur district under the 256th Lifeline Express project of Impact India Foundation. OPD services will be conducted in the camp from 9 am to 4 pm every day and free check-up and surgery will also be done for the patients as per the need.
In this special camp, expert doctors will provide facilities like eye check-up and cataract surgery, ear check-up and surgery, plastic surgery (cleft lip and contracture caused after burns), dental check-up and treatment and breast and cervical cancer check-up and screening for women.
Especially, examination and surgery of bent hands and legs of children below 18 years of age will be done free of cost, so that children affected by disability or congenital deformity can get timely treatment.
Eye OPD: 16 to 21 August, Cataract Surgery: 17 to 22 August,
Ear OPD : 22 to 27 August, Ear Surgery: 23 to 28 August,
OPD for bent limbs and plastic surgery : 28 to 31 August, Surgery: 29 August to 1 September, Dental check-up and treatment: 1 to 5 September,
Breast and cervical cancer screening : 16 to 21 August.
Under the direction of Collector Mrs. Rena Jamil, the district administration is making extensive preparations for the successful operation of the Lifeline Express. The Women and Child Development Department, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, and Health Department have been instructed to work in coordination.
Sarpanch, Panch, Mitanin, Sakhi, Anganwadi workers and assistants of Gram Panchayats have been instructed to identify needy patients in their respective areas, get them registered and motivate them for treatment, so that maximum citizens of remote and rural areas can avail the benefit of this free health service.
The district administration has appealed to citizens to take advantage of this opportunity to register as needed and spread information about this health camp to as many needy people as possible. Patients attending the camp must bring their Aadhaar card, voter ID, or other valid identification. Only one attendant will be allowed to accompany admitted patients.
