Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel participated in the virtual program of Nasha Mukt Yuva for Development Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in Bhopal on Sunday. The program was organized at Brahma Kumaris Sukh Shanti Bhavan Retreat Centre. The program was organized by Brahmakumari Rajyog Bhavan Bhopal under the 10 Crore Nasha Mukti Pratigya Mahabhiyan on the occasion of the 19th death anniversary of Brahmakumari Didi Prakashmani Ji.
In the local program Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that the cooperation of every individual, family, community and class is expected to make Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan a success. Every person should remember 365 days of addiction free pledge. He said that if 10 crore people make one family drug free then 50 crore population of the country will be drug free. A big change will come in the country. He said that the launch of the historic mass movement to create a drug-free, healthy, cultured and developed India is a very inspiring and important occasion for the country. In this context, it is the collective responsibility of all of us to keep children’s childhood safe from the ill effects of drugs and to motivate every family to make their homes drug-free. He expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and said that he has taken a broad resolution of Nasha-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan to make Mission Spandan a mass movement.
Governor Shri Patel said that the real success of the campaign will be only when it becomes a permanent culture of public affairs, lifestyle and social consciousness. He urged all the people associated with the campaign to reach out to the deprived sections of the society, backward areas and remote areas to convey the message that drug addiction not only affects the health of the individual but also seriously affects the progress of the family, society, economy and nation. He commended the Brahmakumari family for joining the Prime Minister’s mass movement in memory of Rajyogini Dadi Prakashmani ji and urged them to guide and lead the propagation of value-based discipline, healthy lifestyle and spiritual consciousness among the youth through community participation. He expressed confidence that the campaign would prove to be an effective, broad and revolutionary mass movement towards realizing the national vision of Developed India @2047.
Minister for Social Justice and Welfare of Persons with Disabilities, Horticulture and Food Processing Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha said that the effects of drugs on the present generation are increasing rapidly, which is a matter of serious concern for the society. He said that addiction affects the progress of the family, society and nation along with the individual. Therefore, the resolution of a drug-free India should take the form of a mass movement. He said that in this direction the active participation of every section of the society along with the administration is necessary. Brahmakumari Sansthan to save the youth from drug addiction, B.K. Gayatri Parivar and other social organizations are continuously running awareness campaign. He also appreciated the anti-drug campaign conducted by the police department last year.
Chairman Human Rights Commission Mr. Awadhesh Pratap Singh said that drug addiction is the main cause of erosion of social and moral values. Emphasizing on the protection of family, society and cultural life-values, he said that to keep the youth away from drugs, it is necessary to strengthen their inner motivation by connecting them with spirituality. He said that constant communication between family and society can save youth from evil like drug addiction. B.K. Rekha Didi said that addiction harms a person physically, mentally and spiritually. It is the need of the hour to free society from addictions and spread spiritual awareness. At the beginning of the program, Regional Director, Sukh Shanti Bhavan B.K. Neeta Didi, gave the welcome address and B.K. Ram Bhai conducted the program. The program started with the lighting of the lamp. B.K. Ratna Didi pledged drug-free India and B.K. Hema Didi gave a message to adopt a positive and spiritual lifestyle by studying Raja Yoga.
