15 Agast Tak Poore Hon Hostel Mess Construction Work : Minister of State Smt Gaur

A review meeting of departmental schemes was held at Mantralaya (Vallabh Bhavan) on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare and Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Welfare (Independent Charge) Mrs. Krishna Gaur. In the meeting, Minister of State Smt. Gaur reviewed the departmental schemes and expansion of facilities in the hostels with the officials of the Department and Public Works Department. Expressing his strong displeasure over the delay in the preparations for running the mess in the hostels, he gave strict instructions to the officials that all the ongoing construction works in the 107 hostels should be completed by August 15, so that nutritious food and better facilities are provided to the students on time.

Commissioner Mr. Satyendra Singh said that preparations are being made by the department to start operation of messes in 107 boys and girls hostels across the state. Out of these 86 hostels kitchen construction work has been completed successfully, while remaining hostel construction work is also in final stage and will be completed within next one week. Minister of State Smt. Gaur directed that there should be no delay in the handover process of the hostels where the construction work has been completed. The concerned authorities should immediately complete the formalities of the transfer of the building and ensure the arrangements for the admission of the students and the management of the mess.

Minister of State Smt. Gaur has said that the State Government is committed to provide excellent residential and educational environment to students belonging to backward classes and minorities. In this regard, 30 girls’ hostels have been selected this year from among the hostels run by the department to be developed as ‘ideal hostels’, whose upgradation works have been directed to be completed within the time frame. Additionally, instructions were given to complete the process of ‘Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Free Coaching Training Scheme’ and start the coaching session soon to support the students preparing for the competitive examinations, whereby the Union Public Service Commission, M.P. Students preparing for Public Service Commission and other competitive exams can get benefits on time.

Backward Class and Minority Welfare Department Commissioner Dr. Satyendra Singh, Additional Secretary Mr. Anurag Chaudhary, Advisor Mr. R.K. Yadav, including departmental officers were present.
