- PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme provides financial relief to families, resolve to develop Chhattisgarh through green energy
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the Chhattisgarh government is ensuring the effective implementation of public welfare schemes to realize Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. As a result, the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme is writing a new chapter of economic prosperity, energy self-sufficiency, and environmental protection in the lives of thousands of families in the state. This scheme is not limited to providing relief on electricity bills, but is also laying a strong foundation for building a greener future by making clean and renewable energy accessible to everyone.
Shri Lakhan Lal Kashyap, a resident of Pendra in the Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, has emerged as a powerful example of this change. Taking advantage of the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme, he installed a 5-kilowatt solar rooftop plant on his home’s rooftop. After the installation, his monthly electricity bill has become completely zero. This has significantly increased his family’s regular monthly savings, and he is also playing an active role in environmental protection through the use of clean energy.
Shri Lakhan Lal Kashyap said that he applied as soon as he learned about the scheme. After completing the prescribed procedures, a solar rooftop plant was installed at his home. The financial cost of installing the plant was significantly reduced due to the grants provided by the central and state governments. This government assistance made his dream of adopting solar energy accessible and affordable.
He explained that previously, he had to pay the electricity bill every month, which was a significant burden on his household budget. Now, with the use of solar energy, his electricity bill has been completely eliminated. The savings are being used for other family needs. He also feels satisfied that he is contributing to reducing pollution and conserving natural resources through the use of clean energy.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the state government is continuously striving to promote renewable energy in the state, encourage energy self-sufficiency, and bring the benefits of clean energy to the common citizen. With the effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme, more and more families in the state are transitioning to solar energy, significantly reducing their monthly electricity expenditure. This is strengthening the national goal of environmental protection and reducing carbon emissions.
Mr. Lakhan Lal Kashyap stated that solar energy is the most reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly energy source of the future. It not only provides economic savings but also ensures a clean and safe environment for future generations. He appealed to all eligible families in the state to take advantage of the Prime Minister’s Free Solar Power Scheme and install solar rooftop plants in their homes.
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, he said that this public welfare scheme has brought solar energy within the reach of ordinary citizens. The government subsidy significantly reduced their financial burden, and today they are using clean and renewable energy without worrying about electricity bills. According to him, this scheme is a visionary initiative that simultaneously achieves the three objectives of economic savings, energy security, and environmental protection.
Through the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme, the scope of energy self-sufficiency in Chhattisgarh is steadily expanding. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the state government aims to ensure that more and more families join this scheme, save on their electricity expenses, adopt clean energy, and participate in building a developed and green Chhattisgarh.
