- Community Policing Program will be conducted every Saturday to develop legal awareness, national security and social responsibility among students of class 11 and 12.
Chief Minister Dr. After the formal launch of the “Srijan Samvad” scheme and its training book by Mohan Yadav on 14 July 2026 at Ravindra Bhavan , Bhopal, the state-wide implementation of this ambitious community policing program has been initiated by the joint efforts of Madhya Pradesh Police , School Education Department and UNFPA . The first phase of the campaign has been launched across the region from August 5, 2026. Its objective is to develop awareness towards law , understanding of role and functioning of police , cyber and social security , constitutional values and positive attitude towards responsible citizen duties in class 11th and 12th students .
As per the instructions issued by the Community Policing Branch, training has been imparted to police officers and teachers in all the districts through Training of Trainers ( ToT) on prescribed textbooks and power point presentations. In the first phase of the pilot project under the guidance of UNFPA , the District Education Officers will provide training to students of class 11th and 12th studying in selected PM Shri , Sandipani or Excellence schools of the district headquarters. Through the Srijan Samvad Book, students will be provided with practical and interactive information on topics like “Me , Mere Adhikar Aur Meri Responsibilities” , Law , Security and Justice , Civic Duty , Role of Police , Community Security , Cyber Security , Open Discussion and Question Answer , so that they can develop the sense of becoming responsible and aware citizens.
The first phase of the campaign was launched on August 5 in 18 districts of the state — Barwani , Dindori , Mandsaur , Pandhurna , Shivpuri , Agar-Malwa , Rewa , Sehore , Rajgarh , Sagar , Narmadapuram , Niwadi , Chhindwara , Mandla , Khandwa , Shajapur and Guna . The program has been started from August 6 in remaining districts. This program will be launched in selected schools on 10 August 2026 in Indore metropolis and 11 August 2026 in Bhopal metropolis.
Under this campaign, an average of 100 to 200 students will be trained daily in each school through prescribed curriculum and presentations. The workshops will be jointly conducted by trained police officers and teachers , so that the students will get practical knowledge on subjects like law , civil liability , cyber security , women and child security and community security.
Police Station Visit will be organized as an important component of the program . During the tour, the students will be made aware of police station premises , police functioning , crime control , citizen support system , women and child safety , investigation process and dial-112 emergency service and its functioning. This will give students practical experience of policing and strengthen trust and partnership between the police and the community.
“Creative Dialogue” is not just a training program , but an innovative effort to link community policing with public participation. Its aim is to develop respect for law , discipline , social sensitivity , awareness towards national security and the sense of becoming responsible citizens in the students , so that in the future they can play an active role in society and nation building.
“Srijan Samvad” program will be organized every Saturday in the region. Every week the students will be trained according to the modules prescribed by the police officers and teachers in the schools and the police station tour programs will also be organized in a phased manner. This will further strengthen the concept of community policing across the region and give new direction to trust and engagement between youth and the police.
