Cultivation of grafted brinjal has improved the financial condition of farmer Mr. Surendra.

If farmers adopt modern agricultural techniques and improved varieties along with traditional farming, production and income can be increased even in a small area. Similarly, after adopting horticultural crops, grafted eggplant cultivation became a means of good production and additional income for farmer Mr. Surendra.
Farmer Mr. Surendra explains that he remains in contact with officials from the Horticulture Department to adopt advanced agricultural techniques and gain information on new methods. Through this, he received a grant of 30,000 rupees for grafted eggplant cultivation in the year 2025-26 under the National Agricultural Development Scheme. He explains that his grafted eggplant cultivation yielded a total of 144 quintals of eggplant. Selling the produced eggplant at market prices, he earned a net profit of 2,39,000 rupees. The production and market prices gave farmer Mr. Surendra better economic results than traditional farming. This is inspiring other farmers to move beyond traditional farming by adopting advanced techniques and increasing their income.
