Various activities are being organized in Balrampur district to link the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’—scheduled from September 17 to October 17, 2026—with public participation and social commitment. As part of this initiative, the ‘Angan Milan Seva’ (Anganwadi and Mother Appreciation) program will be held from September 25 to October 7, 2026. In line with the vision of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, toys will be provided through public cooperation for the young children attending the district’s 2,371 Anganwadi centers.
The objective of ‘Angan Milan Seva’ is to create an environment in Anganwadi centers that is more joyful, engaging, and conducive to learning for children. Special emphasis has been placed on the participation of the district’s citizens in this initiative. Toy donation will be the most heartwarming and sensitive aspect of the event, allowing residents to share a sense of service, affection, and camaraderie with the Anganwadi children.
- ‘Toys lying at home can also bring joy to a child’
Collector Smt. Chandan Sanjay Tripathi has appealed to the district’s residents to donate ‘safe, clean, and usable toys’ from their homes—those that are no longer in use—to the children at Anganwadi centers. Additionally, interested citizens may voluntarily purchase new toys to donate to the children.
She remarked that even a small effort made to bring a smile to a child’s face holds great significance. Citizens, public representatives, social organizations, voluntary groups, and business establishments in the district can participate in this public engagement campaign by visiting their nearest Anganwadi center between September 25 and October 7.
- Anganwadi Centers: Children’s First School
Collector Smt. Tripathi stated that Anganwadi centers serve as the ‘first school’ in a child’s life. It is here that the initial foundation for learning, understanding, communication, and social behavior is laid. Consequently, community participation can play a pivotal role in making these centers more vibrant and conducive to learning for children.
Urging the district’s residents, she remarked that even a small contribution from them could bring a big smile to a child’s face and enrich their learning journey. Every small effort made for children contributes to strengthening the foundation of their bright future.
- Toys Will Strengthen the Foundation of Learning Through Play
For children, toys are not merely a source of entertainment; they play a crucial role in their ‘creative, intellectual, and social development.’ Through play, children grasp new concepts, develop their imagination, and acquire skills related to language and social interaction.
Toys received through public support will be used to create an environment in Anganwadi centers where children can ‘learn while playing, express their creativity, and enjoy the learning process.’ This will also boost children’s interest and participation in Anganwadi activities.

The ‘Angan Milan Seva’ initiative is not limited to the donation of toys; it is also an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of ’empathy, cooperation, and a sense of belonging’ within society. While children will gain access to resources beneficial for their development, various sections of society will simultaneously have the opportunity to engage directly with the children and serve the community. The district administration and the Department of Women and Child Development have appealed to all citizens of the district to actively participate in the ‘Angan Milan Seva’ initiative, scheduled from September 25 to October 7. Citizens are encouraged to donate toys from their homes—provided they are safe and in good condition, even if no longer in use—to any Anganwadi center, or to provide new toys at their own discretion.
This public participation initiative will not only bring joy to the lives of the young children across 2,371 Anganwadi centers but also strengthen the spirit of service, affection, and social responsibility.
