The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan was launched in the state with the aim of strengthening the spirit of service, cooperation and public participation. Under the campaign, various programs related to public service, public awareness and social concern will be organized for a month. In this sequence, a blood donation camp was organized at the District Hospital, Surajpur. The camp was inaugurated by Women and Child Development Minister, Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade. While encouraging the blood donors, she appealed to healthy and eligible citizens to come forward for voluntary blood donation.
On this occasion, Minister Smt. Rajwade underwent a health checkup herself and raised awareness among the public about regular health checkups. She stated that blood donation is an important way to serve humanity. Donating blood can help save the life of someone in need. In emergency situations, blood is often not available in time, so awareness and public participation in voluntary blood donation are crucial.
He said that the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is not limited to events, but rather an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of service, cooperation, and humanity in society. We must promote mutual cooperation and brotherhood while eliminating social evils like untouchability and discrimination. He urged citizens to actively participate in the various programs organized under the campaign and to light a lamp in their homes on the evening of September 17th as part of the “Aashirwad Ka Diya” program.
Minister Smt. Rajwade said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life have been significant for his work related to service, public welfare, and nation-building. The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is an effort to broaden this spirit of service through public participation. She said that public support gives new impetus to works of service and public welfare.
Premnagar MLA Mr. Bhool Singh Marawi said that the blood donation camp organized under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is an event that strengthens the spirit of service and humanity. He said that during the COVID-19 pandemic, various efforts, including vaccination, provided vital support to protect people from infection. He appealed to citizens to contribute to society and those in need with a spirit of service.
President of the District Panchayat, Surajpur, Mrs. Swati Singh, said that blood donation is a great donation. Timely blood donation plays a vital role in saving the life of a needy person. She called on healthy and eligible citizens to come forward for voluntary blood donation and actively participate in the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.
The Health Department ensured necessary arrangements for the blood donors, including health checkups and blood group testing. Citizens from various walks of life, including youth, enthusiastically participated in the blood donation camp. Health department officials, doctors, public representatives, college students, and a large number of citizens were present.
