Women in Chhattisgarh have consistently made significant contributions to the family, society, and the economy. Today, through their hard work and talent, they are carving a niche for themselves in entrepreneurship and social leadership. The regular financial assistance provided under the ‘Mahtari Vandan Yojana’ has empowered many women to make decisions regarding their personal needs and family expenses. Some have used this amount to start saving, while others have made it the foundation for small-scale livelihood activities.
Women are also engaging with savings, skill development, and entrepreneurship through Self-Help Groups. We strive to ensure that, alongside financial assistance, they also receive opportunities for growth. When a woman makes a decision with confidence, it impacts the lives of the entire family.
- Families and Communities: Join Hands with Anganwadis
The foundation of a healthy and capable society is laid in childhood. Anganwadi centers serve as vital hubs for providing essential information to mothers, alongside ensuring children’s nutrition, health, and early education. The success of these centers relies not only on the efforts of Anganwadi workers but also on the cooperation of families and the community. The slogan ‘Hamari Anganwadi, Hamari Zimmedari’ (Our Anganwadi, Our Responsibility) embodies this shared sense of duty. The ‘Angan Milan’ event, scheduled from September 25 to October 7, will further strengthen this partnership. During this period, parents and community members will have the opportunity to engage with the activities of Anganwadi centers, understand the arrangements for children’s meals and hygiene, and discuss nutrition. Dialogues regarding what to feed children at home, how to introduce dietary diversity, and how to cultivate good hygiene habits will make nutrition-related efforts more effective.
