Bank of Baroda Introduces Attractive Salary Benefits for Chhattisgarh Home Guards, Fire, and SDRF Personnel

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on October 6, 2026, between the Home Guards, Fire & Emergency Services, and SDRF (Chhattisgarh) and Bank of Baroda. This agreement ensures benefits such as life insurance, personal accident insurance, and other facilities for all volunteers and employees in the lower-income bracket—specifically those earning a salary or honorarium between ₹10,000 and ₹50,000. Eligible employees and volunteers can open their salary accounts at the Bank of Baroda branch in their respective districts. All unit heads have been instructed to coordinate with the bank and expedite this process.

Bank of Baroda has announced special salary benefits for the personnel and staff of the Chhattisgarh Home Guards, Fire & Emergency Services, and SDRF departments. Under this scheme, the personnel and their families are being offered excellent financial and insurance protection benefits.

  • Key Features and Benefits

Personnel and staff of the Chhattisgarh Home Guards, Fire & Emergency Services, and SDRF departments will receive: life insurance cover of up to ₹1 lakh; personal accident insurance of up to ₹40 lakh; air accident insurance cover of up to ₹40 lakh; additional cover during duty—an extra 25% of the base Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) (up to ₹10 lakh); and disability benefits—financial assistance of up to ₹40 lakh for total/permanent disability and up to ₹30 lakh for partial disability. Financial assistance of up to ₹4 lakh will be provided for the marriage of daughters, and benefits of up to ₹4 lakh for children’s education, to the personnel and staff of the State’s Home Guard, Fire & Emergency Services, and SDRF departments.

  • Account and Card Features

Personnel and staff of the State’s Home Guard, Fire & Emergency Services, and SDRF departments will be provided with a zero-balance account (with no Quarterly Average Balance requirement), a lifetime-free RuPay Platinum Debit Card, and a complimentary credit card (Select variant). In addition to zero-balance facilities for up to four family accounts (including the spouse’s account) accompanied by free RuPay debit cards, other banking services—such as chequebooks, Demand Drafts (DD), RTGS, NEFT, and unlimited ATM usage—will be provided completely free of charge.

This initiative by Bank of Baroda will provide significant financial strength and various conveniences to the personnel serving in the state’s security and emergency services, as well as to their families.
