Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that this honor symbolizes the hard work of Chhattisgarh’s industrious farmers, the government’s farmer-welfare policies, and administrative commitment. He added that the state government is continuously working to make agriculture modern, profitable, and a foundation for prosperity, in line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). This achievement in agricultural development, particularly in a tribal-dominated region like Bastar, is a matter of pride for the entire state.

Shri Ramvichar Netam, Minister for Agriculture Development and Farmers’ Welfare, has expressed happiness over Dantewada district receiving a national award and congratulated the farmers as well as the entire Agriculture Department team. This success in Dantewada demonstrates that through well-planned efforts, departmental coordination, and the active participation of farmers, new milestones in agricultural development can be achieved even in forest-covered and tribal regions.

The efficient administrative leadership of Agriculture Production Commissioner and Secretary Shri Siddharth Komal Pardeshi has played a pivotal role in the effective implementation of agricultural schemes, regular reviews, and the strengthening of departmental coordination across the state. Under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Dhan-Dhanya Yojana, special efforts were made in Dantewada district to extend the benefits of agricultural schemes to small and marginal farmers in remote forest villages. Initiatives were undertaken to integrate modern techniques with traditional farming practices, manage soil health, promote organic and natural farming, and ensure the availability of agricultural inputs.

Under the guidance of the district administration, cluster-based activities were promoted through enhanced coordination among various departments, including Agriculture, Horticulture, and Panchayat & Rural Development. Additionally, efforts to encourage value addition, processing, and market linkages for agricultural produce played a significant role in the economic empowerment of farmers.
