- Financial support for children’s education and family needs
With the help of the Bihan scheme, which aims to connect rural women with livelihoods, Mrs. Sahana Ansari of Surajpur district has started a grocery store. Joining a self-help group, she has been running this livelihood activity for the past three years. With the income from the store, she supports household expenses and her children’s education.
Sahana Ansari, a resident of Datima Gram Panchayat, Bhaiyathan District Panchayat, says she received a loan of 60,000 rupees through the Bihan Yojana. With this money, she opened a grocery store. Now, the shop’s income helps her meet her children’s school fees, books, and notebooks.
For Mrs. Sahana, the shop has not only been a source of employment but also a foundation of self-confidence and self-reliance. She says that while the income is limited, it provides a vital support for the family and her children’s education.
She considers the Bihan Yojana a tool that has brought positive change to her life. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Mrs. Sahana Ansari explains that the loan she received through her self-help group has given her the opportunity to start her own business.
The story of Mrs. Sahana Ansari, part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, demonstrates how, through support from programs and hard work, women are embracing self-employment and contributing to their families’ economic well-being. The assistance received from Bihan has empowered Sahana to improve her livelihood and move towards a better future for her children.
