During the visit of Shri Vivek K. Dewangan, Secretary of National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) to Chhattisgarh, a review of various departments was held today in the meeting hall of Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan Nava Raipur. Shri Bhuvnesh Yadav, Secretary Scheduled Caste Development Department, Shri Dipanshu Kabra, Inspector General of Police, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Welfare, Police Headquarters, and Shri Anupam Trivedi, Joint Secretary, Scheduled Castes Development Department, Shri Vara Prasad, Research Officer Hyderabad, Shri Balaji Rao IG AJK, Collector Balodabazar, Collector Bilaspur, Collector Rajnandgaon, Collector Mahasamud, Collector Raigarh, Collector Korba and senior police officers of various districts were present in the said meeting.
In this important meeting, a thorough hearing was held on the issues like service related harassment, discrimination in transfer and non-availability of pension benefits of Scheduled Caste employees associated with Central Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Guru Ghasidas University Bilaspur, South East Central Railway and Jail Department and the side of the complainants was also heard and instructions were given to the officials of the concerned department to take appropriate action.
