The benefits of the Nyadha Nellnar scheme should reach the beneficiaries in a quality and timely manner
Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain today conducted an in-depth review of the basic facilities being provided to the residents of Kanker, Dantewada, Narayanpur, Bijapur and Sukma districts of Bastar division under the government’s ambitious Niyada Nellnar Yojana at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here. He sought information from the collectors of the districts about residential schools, collective and individual forest rights lease, 500 units of free electricity, Kisan Samman Nidhi, free seeds and agricultural equipment to farmers, irrigation solar pumps and borewell facilities in farmers’ fields. Similarly, information was also taken about high mask light, free gas connection under Ujjwala Yojana, free food grains, drinking water, Agniveer recruitment coaching, skill development training and sports material to youth, Prime Minister and Chief Minister’s residence, mobile connectivity and bank ATM facility including the facility of perennial roads. The Chief Secretary reviewed in detail the basic facilities including Anganwadi Center, Health Center, status of schools and purchase of minor forest produce in the villages covered under the scheme. In the meeting, information was also taken from the officials about the night landing facility under police camps.
The Chief Secretary has directed the officials to work in a planned manner so that people in the villages covered under the Niyad Nellnar Yojana can get the benefits of all the basic facilities and welfare schemes. He said that all the departmental secretaries providing the facilities should have district-wise updated information on the action plan and the facilities being provided. The Chief Secretary told the Food Department officials to constantly monitor that all the beneficiaries in the villages of the scheme area must get rice, jaggery, sugar, gram, etc. on their ration cards. Mr. Jain directed the Bastar Divisional Commissioner to continuously monitor the Niyad Nellnar Yojana.
In this important meeting organized through video conference, Additional Chief Secretary of Forest and Climate Change Department, Smt. Richa Sharma, Principal Secretary of Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Smt. Niharika Barik, Principal Secretary of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, Shri Sonamni Bora, Secretary of Agriculture Department, Smt. Shehla Nigar, Secretary of Public Works Department, Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary of Skill Development Department, Dr. S. Bharatidasan, Secretary of Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Shri Himshikhar Gupta, including Bastar Divisional Commissioner and Collectors, Superintendents of Police and other departmental officers of Kanker, Dantewada, Narayanpur, Bijapur and Sukma participated.
