Healthy Women, Strong Families Campaign

203 women and children were examined at the Women’s Health Conference in Pendra.

Under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s “Healthy Women, Empowered Family” campaign, a grand women’s health conference was organized in the meeting hall of Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, Pendra. This program was organized in the presence of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi Collector Mrs. Leena Kamlesh Mandavi. In her address, she said that 169 villages of the district have been included in the Adi Karmayogi campaign, in which a minimum of 20 Adi Sahayogi volunteers were to be selected from each village.

It is worth noting that the objective of this campaign is to prepare a Tribal Village Vision for how our villages should look in 2030, in which the culture, history, religious importance and problems of the villages can also be mentioned in the Tribal Village Vision. He told that Panchayats have been established as Adi Seva Kendra, where complaints can be made. He said that every woman should remain healthy, because only when women are healthy, the family will remain healthy. Women are involved in dual work, and they contribute to other activities besides household chores. All such women need to remain healthy. He wished all the women a happy healthy life and administered oath regarding National Ayurveda Day, child marriage and healthy women empowered family.

In the program, expert doctors provided information to women about anemia, sickle cell, diabetes, high blood pressure, mental health, breast and cervical cancer, Prime Minister’s Safe Motherhood Campaign, menstrual hygiene and care. Karmayogi kits were provided to Adi Karmayogi women in the conference. In the health check-up, counseling and treatment camp at the conference, 203 women and children were examined and treated.

Adi Karmayogi women and women public representatives from 169 villages participated in this conference. District Panchayat Vice President Raja Upendra Bahadur Singh, District Panchayat members Mrs. Bund Kunwar Moscow, Mrs. Radha Raidas, District Panchayat CEO Mukesh Raote, along with public representatives, doctors, and officials were present.
