The School of Information Technology, MATS University, Raipur successfully organized an enriching Expert Talk on “Generative & Agentic AI” on January 17, 2026. The session was delivered by Ms. Sonu Agrawal, Data Scientist at Cognizant.The expert talk received an enthusiastic response from students and faculty members. The session effectively combined theoretical concepts with practical demonstrations, helping participants gain a clear understanding of the evolution of Artificial Intelligence—from Descriptive and Predictive AI to the emerging domains of Generative and Agentic AI.Through this interaction, participants gained first-hand exposure to cutting-edge AI advancements, thereby enhancing their knowledge, employability, and preparedness for future opportunities in the rapidly growing field of Artificial Intelligence.Dr. Omprakash Chandrakar, Professor and Head, School of Information Technology, stated that the event was a significant step toward bridging the gap between academia and industry.On the occasion, Dr. K P Yadav, Vice Chancellor, Priyesh Pagaria, Director General, and Gokulanada Panda, Registrar, greeted the participants and reaffirmed MATS University’s strong commitment to providing industry-relevant education and experiential learning.
