- Good governance selfie becomes the center of attraction in Baloda Bazar
As per the instructions of the state government, to ensure timely and effective resolution of public complaints and to ensure easy, transparent and quick availability of services to the general public, public problem resolution camps are being organized in rural and urban areas of Baloda Bazar district under Good Governance Festival 2026. In this series, public problem resolution camps were organized in village Mopar of development block Bhatapara, village Sasaha of Palari, village Deradih of Kasdol and Nagar Panchayat Palari.
In the camp, local public representatives distributed materials, checks and certificates to the beneficiaries under various schemes. These included ration cards from the Food Department, Ayushman cards and spectacles from the Health Department, MNREGA job cards from the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, keys to the PM Awas Yojana house, two big nets and ice boxes from the Fisheries Department, fruit trees from the Horticulture Department, whistles and canes from the Social Welfare Department to Bharat Mata Vahini, a statue of Mahatma Gandhi to the Sarpanch of a TB-free village, and sports kits to children from the Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
Through the Samadhan camps, files are being prepared on the spot and are being settled immediately. This specifically includes revenue matters like name transfer, partition and demarcation, as well as pending wages of MNREGA, income-caste-residence certificate, electricity, transformer and drinking water, Aadhar card, ration card, Ayushman card, Mahatari Vandan, pension, labour card, etc., to avail benefits from schemes of various departments.
These camps will not be limited to accepting applications, but eligible beneficiaries will be provided with the benefits of the schemes on the spot, and each application will be resolved within a maximum of one month. District-level officials provided information about their departments and schemes at the camps, encouraging people to take advantage of them.
Good governance selfie became the center of attraction – An attractive good governance selfie was created in the Samadhan camp. The villagers who came to the camp were seen enthusiastic about taking selfies in it. Along with this, the Women and Child Development Department provided nutrition kits to pregnant women and a health camp was also organized by the Health Department. Keeping in mind the intense heat, ORS solution was also arranged in this camp.
