- Maternal and child health gets a boost due to the initiative of the Women and Child Development Department
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, public grievance resolution camps organized in Jashpur district under the “Good Governance Festival 2026” are not only addressing public issues, but also promoting maternal and child health through various public welfare programs.
In this context, the Women and Child Development Department performed the Annaprashan ceremony for four children and the baby shower ceremony for eight pregnant women at the Good Governance Camp held in Chongribahar village of Kansabel development block. Public representatives extended their best wishes to the children and expectant mothers, wishing them a healthy and happy future.
During the program, pregnant women were informed about the importance of a balanced diet, regular health checkups, and institutional delivery. They were also raised awareness about proper nutrition, vaccination, and child care.
District Panchayat member Mrs. Hiramati Pankra, District Panchayat Kansabel President Mrs. Sarita Bhagat, Vice President Mr. Pramod Gupta, public representatives, along with officials and employees of the Women and Child Development Department and Anganwadi workers were present.
Through Good Governance Festival, the government’s schemes and services are reaching every village, due to which the citizens are not only getting the benefit of solving their problems but are also getting direct benefits of programs related to health, nutrition and social welfare.
