‘Chhattisgarh’s livelihood model is an inspiration for the entire country – Union Minister of State Shri Paswan’

Union Minister of State for Rural Development, Shri Kamlesh Paswan, today visited the Multi-Utility Center at Serikhedi in Raipur district. At the center, operated under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (Bihar), he closely inspected the innovations and livelihood activities being undertaken by women self-help groups. He particularly praised the women-led AJA project and its improved market linkages, calling it a model for the nation to emulate.

  • ‘SC Project Scientific Animal Husbandry and Strong Market Linkage’

          Minister Shri Paswan closely observed the implementation of the Integrated Goat Farming Model (AJA). He stated that this project is not only increasing the income of rural families but also providing a new direction to scientific animal husbandry. Systems such as modern sheds, regular vaccinations, animal insurance, online monitoring, and organic fertilizer production have brought positive changes to the rural economy. He described the easy market availability for the products produced by the groups as a learning experience for other states.

  • ‘Pink Didi and Business Didi are the new identity of self-reliant India’

         During the inspection, the Minister praised the e-auto service “Project Pink Didi” operating in Nava Raipur. He interacted with the beneficiary women to learn about their experiences and noted that this initiative is both conserving the environment and empowering women economically. In addition to the Integrated Goat Farming Project, agriculture-based livelihood activities, and the Livelihood Service Center, he also observed Business Didi, mushroom production, and other agriculture-based activities.

  • ‘Women who manage homes now form the board of directors’

       Minister Shri Paswan held a cordial discussion with the women on the board of directors of the Farmer Producer Group. During the discussion, the women shared how they emerged from the confines of their homes and are now leading organized businesses. The Minister tasted Mahua cookies and praised the skills of the women in the group, stating that real empowerment lies in organizing the unorganized sector and achieving profit.

  • ‘Instructions to officials to expand schemes’

         Describing Chhattisgarh’s livelihood model as an inspiration for other states, the Union Minister of State asked the officials to emphasize on further expansion of these schemes. The Union Minister of State said that the livelihood model in Chhattisgarh can become an inspiration for other states as well. Congratulating the concerned officials and women groups for their good work, he stressed on further expansion of the schemes. Panchayat Secretary Shri Bhim Singh, Collector Shri Gaurav Singh, District Panchayat CEO Shri Kumar Biswaranjan and other departmental officials were present during the inspection.

        Union Minister of State for Rural Development Shri Kamlesh Paswan interacted with Multi Utility Centre, Serikhedi (Raipur) Aaja Project, Pink Didi E-Auto, Business Didi, FPO and said that Chhattisgarh’s rural livelihood model is a strong step towards self-reliant India.
