- More than two hundred and fifty varieties of mangoes, both indigenous and foreign, will be showcased.

The National Mango Festival is being organized on May 29, 30, and 31 at the Agricultural College campus in Raipur, under the joint auspices of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Directorate of Horticulture and Field Forestry, Government of Chhattisgarh, and Prakriti Ki Or Society. Over 250 indigenous and foreign mango varieties will be showcased at the National Mango Festival. A competition for various mango varieties is being organized, with participation from mango growers from Chhattisgarh and various states across the country. A competition for various mango dishes is also being organized. A mango decoration competition is also being organized, in which school and college students, women, and other members of the public can participate by registering. Registration and entry to the Mango Festival are completely free. Institutional and individual contestants can also participate.
Entries will be registered on the first day of the Mango Festival, May 29, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The exhibition will remain open for public viewing until 9 p.m. on all three days. Various varieties of mango, various mango products, and mango plants will be available for sale at the exhibition. On the second day, May 30th, from 12:00 to 4:00 pm, technical guidance and discussions will be organized for mango farmers and those interested. Information will be provided on the production of high-quality mango varieties in Chhattisgarh, the processing and marketing of various mango products, and the Chhattisgarh government’s plans for mango production, so that the new generation can be attracted to mango production. Information will be provided to the public on adopting mango production as a healthy business while protecting the environment. On the third day, May 31st, success stories of mango farmers and entrepreneurs will be told from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. Participants can participate in the competition organized on the occasion of the National Mango Festival with a minimum of 5 to 10 mangoes per variety. Participants can register for the competition, which features various mango dishes, by submitting a minimum of 250 grams of mango product.
On the last day of the National Mango Festival, along with the viewing of the exhibition, a prize distribution and felicitation ceremony will also be organized for the participants. The main objective of this event is to make the general public aware of all the common and special varieties and special products of the national fruit “Mango”, which is the favorite fruit of the general public, and to provide information to citizens, women, students, new entrepreneurs and farmers about adopting mango production as a means of employment.
