The traditional Vishnu Bhog rice from the Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district is rapidly gaining popularity after the Chief Minister praised it during Sushasan Tihar. People from outside the district are now reaching out directly to producers to purchase this special aromatic rice.

It is noteworthy that during a public meeting held in Nimdha Gram Panchayat of Marwahi development block, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai specifically praised Vishnu Bhog rice grown by local farmers and women’s groups. The video of this Chief Minister’s address went viral on social media. After watching the video, Raipur resident Ajay Kumar was so impressed by the characteristics and quality of this traditional rice that he and his companions traveled directly to Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district.
- Direct purchase of 7 thousand rupees in the presence of the collector
These customers, who arrived in the district, purchased 50 kilograms of Vishnu Bhog rice directly from Tipan Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited in the presence of Collector Dr. Santosh Kumar Dewangan. The total purchase cost ₹7,000. Customers from Raipur explained that their interest in the rice was piqued after the Chief Minister praised the product, and they wanted to experience its aroma and taste for themselves. They pledged to continue purchasing this rice in the future.
