Under Vikasit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar evam Aajeevika Mission (Rural) (VB G Ram Ji), about 30 thousand seed balls were prepared by the women of self-help groups associated with CLF cluster in Gram Panchayat Godam of Janpad Panchayat Sarangarh of Bilaspur district.
‘Seed planting festival celebrated by forming a human chain.
These seed balls were distributed to the gram panchayats falling under the cluster in the presence of the District Panchayat President, Collector, Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat, Sarpanches of the cluster, other officials and sisters of the self-help group.
During this, everyone together celebrated the seed planting festival by forming a human chain and gave the message to the people to plant trees under VB Jiramji and protect the environment.
‘Plantation will be done at suitable places including the embankments of ponds and tanks’
On this occasion, instructions were given that seed balls will be used for planting at the embankments of ponds, tanks and other suitable places constructed under VB-Jiramji, so that increasing the green cover in the rainy season, environmental protection and water conservation can be made more effective.
During the program, public representatives, officials, and villagers were informed about
the objectives of the VB-Jiramji scheme, including water conservation, natural resource management, and public participation-based development work. Everyone was urged to actively participate in the campaign and turn it into a mass movement.
