Coal India’s first fully women-operated dispensary, established at SECL as a significant initiative towards women empowerment, has successfully completed one year of dedicated service. The Vasant Vihar Dispensary has been setting an inspiring example by delivering quality healthcare through an all-women team of medical professionals.
The first anniversary of the all-women dispensary was celebrated in the presence of SECL Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), Shri Harish Duhan, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The celebrations commenced with a cake-cutting ceremony. The event was attended by all women doctors and healthcare professionals of Vasant Vihar Dispensary, doctors from Indira Health Centre, and other medical staff. Over the past year, the dispensary has been successfully managed entirely by women doctors and healthcare personnel, providing quality healthcare services to SECL employees and their dependents.
Addressing the gathering, CMD Shri Harish Duhan said that Coal India’s first fully women-operated dispensary is a matter of great pride for SECL. He stated that women today are demonstrating exceptional capability, leadership, and professionalism across every field, and this initiative stands as a strong example of their growing contribution to the organization. He further shared that SECL envisions developing the dispensary into a Centre of Excellence in the coming years and is continuously working towards achieving this goal.
Among those present on the occasion were Chief Medical Services (CMS) Dr. Shruti Dev Mishra, Deputy Chief Medical Services (Dy. CMS) Dr. Arihant Jain, Deputy Medical Superintendent and In-charge, Vasant Vihar Dispensary, Dr. Nazia Mohammadi, along with doctors and staff members from Vasant Vihar Dispensary and Indira Health Centre.
On the occasion, all doctors and healthcare professionals expressed their happiness at the successful completion of the dispensary’s first year and reaffirmed their commitment to continue delivering quality healthcare services with dedication, compassion, and excellence.
