The government is working to make the International Sports Complex world-class

  •  Minister Shri Sarang reviewed the progress and instructed to complete timely and quality work.
  • A review meeting was held at TT Nagar Stadium; By adding two new entrances to total 5 gates, road widening, fire safety, signage and modern facilities will be speeded up.

Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang held a comprehensive review meeting of the construction and development works of International Sports Complex located at Barkheda Nathu at TT Nagar Stadium and directed the officials to complete all the works in time , quality and in accordance with international standards. In the meeting, the sports infrastructure , security system , public facilities , energy management and progress of construction works being developed in the complex were discussed in detail.

Minister Shri Sarang said that this sports complex is going to become a major center for world class training and competitions for the sports talents of Madhya Pradesh. Therefore, special attention should be paid to quality , transparency and technical standards in every construction work . He made it clear that no compromise on the quality of negligence at any level will be accepted and all work should be completed within the stipulated time frame.

  • Now there are 5 entrances with easy access

In the meeting, it was informed that two new entrance gates will be added to further improve the entry and exit system in the sports premises as per the instructions of Minister Shri Sarang. Initially there were three gates in the premises , which are now being developed to a total of five entrances. This will also make the voice of players , spectators , officials and emergency services easier and more organized.

  • Road widening and modern security system around the premises

It was told in the review meeting that as per the directives of Minister Shri Sarang, the roads are being widened around the entire sports complex. Along with this, modern sprinkler system is being developed to protect the green area and the fire safety system is being strengthened as per international standards. Installation of fire fighting equipments , emergency access routes and other safety measures are also being completed on a priority basis.

  • Modern signage will be installed on all public facilities

Minister Shri Sarang directed that for the convenience of sportsmen and visitors clear , attractive and international standards compliant signage should be installed at all public utility places in the area. For this, a separate detailed project plan should be prepared and work should be started soon , so that every person coming to the area can easily access the necessary facilities.

  • The handover process will be completely transparent

Minister Shri Sarang directed the officials that the process of handover and takeover of sports premises should be completed after complete technical verification. No structure should be accepted without verification. Along with this, a detailed flow chart of all repairable works should be prepared and a step-by-step action plan should be drawn up , so that transparency and accountability can be ensured.

  • Modern infrastructure se hoga comprehensive development of sports facilities

He directed that water , electricity , sanitation , parking , IT server room , administrative building , modern auditorium and all other basic and modern facilities should be developed on priority. Keeping in mind the needs of players and coaches, instructions were given to develop each facility as per international standards.

  • A third party audit will ensure impartial quality control

Minister Shri Sarang directed to conduct a third party audit of the construction works of the sports complex and the facilities being developed , so as to ensure a fair review of the quality and technical standards and maintain the credibility of the project.

Green energy will get a boost

In the meeting, Minister Shri Sarang emphasized on the maximum use of solar energy to meet the energy needs of the area. He directed that an action plan should be prepared to develop solar energy based systems in a phased manner not only in this area but in all sports areas of the region.

  • Special emphasis on cafeteria , parking and other facilities

He directed the officials to develop a modern cafeteria in the premises for the convenience of sportsmen and visitors. Also, adequate parking for two-wheelers and four-wheelers in all the blocks , additional entrances , road construction parallel to the boundary wall , horticulture , electricity system and all other necessary works should be prepared by preparing separate project plans and ensuring speedy implementation.

Minister Shri Sarang also directed that the construction agency will obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Sports Department before making payments to any associated agency and the purchase of all necessary equipment will be done only after departmental approval.

Senior officials of sports and youth welfare department , representatives of construction agency and related officials were present in the meeting.
