The memorial cum museum on the rebellions of tribal freedom fighters of Chhattisgarh, being built in the Tribal Research and Training Institute campus of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, will soon be dedicated to the public. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the country’s first digital museum on the occasion of Rajyotsav. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai inspected the under-construction museum site today and took stock of the preparations for the inauguration and gave necessary directions to the officials.
It is worth noting that the state government is celebrating the silver jubilee of Chhattisgarh’s 25th anniversary this year. While inspecting the construction of the Martyr Veer Narayan Singh Tribal Freedom Fighter Memorial cum Museum being built in Nava Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the museum should have audio-video visuals for visitors and tourists so that they can become well acquainted with the historical background of the freedom fighters.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that as a result of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision, a memorial-cum-museum symbolizing the historical glory , bravery, and sacrifice of the tribal communities in Chhattisgarh will soon be visible on the ground. This museum under construction will continue to remind future generations of their ancestors for centuries to come. He said that this museum will be an inspiration not only for tribal communities but also for people from all walks of life, including those from India and abroad.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that through this living museum, people will be emboldened to rebel against the injustice and oppression of even the most powerful forces. He said that as a result of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s visionary thinking, today the state has its first museum dedicated to the valor and sacrifice of Chhattisgarh’s tribal freedom fighters.

Chief Minister Shri Sai directed that all necessary preparations and construction work be completed in view of the proposed inauguration by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on the occasion of the upcoming State Festival. He inquired about the status of digitization work , parking arrangements , souvenir shop , gardening , and water supply in the museum.
Principal Secretary Shri Sonmani Bora gave detailed information to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai regarding the 14 galleries under construction in the museum including galleries on Flag Satyagraha , Jungle Satyagraha , tribal cultures etc.
During the inspection, Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap , Chief Secretary Shri Vikasshiil , Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Singh , Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Rahul Bhagat , Raipur Division Commissioner Shri Mahadev Kavre , Tribal Development Department Commissioner Dr. Saransh Mittal , Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister and Public Relations Department Commissioner Dr. Ravi Mittal , Collector Shri Gaurav Singh , Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Umed Singh , TRTI Director Mrs. Hina Animesh Netam and other departmental officers were present with him.
The museum is being prepared using VFX technology and projection work.
It is worth noting that this memorial cum museum is being prepared with VFX technology and projection work after detailed study and research on the historical background of the freedom fighters of tribals of Chhattisgarh. The description of the tribal rebellion will be available to the visitors visiting the museum on the digital board placed near the statue. Visitors will be able to experience the tribal rebellion alive in the museum. At the same time, visitors will be able to easily get the related information by scanning the live presentation made in each gallery with the help of their mobile with the scanner.
The museum is being built in 16 galleries.
It is noteworthy that in the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Museum, live demonstrations of the struggle and valour of the brave tribal heroes of various tribal rebellions that took place in Chhattisgarh during the freedom movement, such as – Halba rebellion , Surguja rebellion , Bhopalpatnam rebellion , Paralkot rebellion , Tarapur rebellion , Lingagiri rebellion , Koi rebellion , Maria rebellion , Muria rebellion , Rani Chauris rebellion , Bhumkal rebellion, Sonakhan rebellion , Flag Satyagraha and Jungle Satyagraha, are being done in 14 galleries. At the same time, one gallery each is also being constructed on Jungle Satyagraha and Flag Satyagraha.
