Agri Carnival-2024 at Agricultural University: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will inaugurate the “National Farmers Fair and Agricultural Exhibition” on October 23

Indira Gandhi Agricultural University Raipur is organizing a four-day Agri Carnival-2024 “National Farmers Fair and Agricultural Exhibition”, which started with the Youth Conclave on 22 October. The event will run till 25 October.
The Chief Minister of the state Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will inaugurate the National Farmers Fair and Agriculture Exhibition tomorrow on 23rd October at 3 pm. The inaugural ceremony will be presided over by the Minister of Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare and Biotechnology of the state Shri Ramvichar Netam. During the National Farmers Fair, every day farmers, students and common citizens will be taken on a tour of the crops being grown in the research field of the university and the agriculture exhibition.
On the first day, 22 October, a job fair will be organized in which more than 2000 students will participate. On this occasion, more than 20 private companies working in the field of seeds, agricultural chemicals, fertilizers will provide employment to the selected students and their representatives will also provide guidance in getting employment. On 22 October itself, an ‘International Education Fair’ will be organized along with the ‘Industries Academic Meet’. In this fair, experts will guide the students towards getting education abroad. The ‘Self-employment and Startup’ program organized during the ‘Youth Conclave’ will include agricultural students, startups, budding and aspiring entrepreneurs, incubators of Chhattisgarh state, representatives of the industry, youth dedicated to opening new dimensions in the direction of innovation, entrepreneurship and change in the agricultural sector.
The main objective of this program is to identify and encourage potential areas that young entrepreneurs and startups can find meaningful for innovation and progress in agriculture. In this program, knowledge related to innovation and entrepreneurship will be exchanged between startup experts and students.

On this occasion, the students of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University are being provided detailed information by startup experts about training, guidance and grants available for setting up a startup.
