Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, who is sensitive towards the farmers of the state, is also determined and constantly making efforts for the welfare of the farmers and their progressive progress. Positive results of the government’s schemes are also being seen at the ground level. Farmers of Kondagaon district are also making their mark as prosperous and happy farmers today by taking advantage of various schemes.
Positive change came from Aatma Yojana
67-year-old progressive farmer Shri Chautu Netam of village Chipavand, located in the development block Kondagaon of the district, has set a new example of success in the field of agriculture through his hard work and latest agricultural techniques. By doing advanced farming on his agricultural land of 03 acres 54 decimals, he has not only increased his income, but has also become an inspiration for other farmers. Earlier Chautu Netam used to cultivate ragi in the traditional way and sowed seeds in the old way. In the Kharif season, sowing seeds through the sprinkling method in traditional farming was not giving much profit in production. After this, when the Agriculture Department gave him training in new techniques under the Aatma Yojana, he decided to change the cultivation of ragi. In the Rabi season, Chautu Netam adopted the method of row sowing of ragi crop, which not only increased the production of his crop, but also increased his income.
Chautu Ram on the path of progress through advanced agriculture
Chautu Ram told that through the row sowing method, seed distribution and irrigation have become more organized and controlled, due to which the production of the ragi crop has doubled. Earlier, where the production of ragi was only 4 quintals in 0.405 hectare of ragi cultivation area and only 12 thousand rupees were received as income. But now after adopting the new technology through seed production program by row sowing method in agriculture, the production has increased to 9 quintals, which earned 45 thousand rupees. Thus, with the increase in production, their income has also increased.
For Chautu Netam, this change due to the government’s scheme was not only a change in agricultural technique but it also brought a positive change in his life. The technical guidance and training received from the Agriculture Department proved to be very beneficial for him. The program of seed production through row sowing method not only gave him more production but by taking advantage of government schemes, he increased his income and moved ahead on the path of progress in the field of agriculture. Shri Chautu Ram appealed to other farmers of the district to take advantage of the scheme, get training and adopt advanced techniques in agriculture.
