Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s initiative has led to Chhattisgarh hosting a grand military exhibition on October 5 and 6 at the Science College Ground in Raipur. The Indian Army’s Bhishma tanks and other military artillery received a warm welcome as they arrived in the city on October 3. Before reaching the venue, the convoy of tanks and military vehicles paraded through key locations, including Telibandha, Marine Drive, the Collectorate, Jaistambh Chowk, and Ashram Chowk. The event created excitement among residents, with many capturing the impressive display on their phones. Throughout the parade, the Indian flag was prominently displayed on all vehicles, further boosting patriotic enthusiasm.
Preparations for the Military Exhibition are in full swing, with military weapons from the Indian Army—such as Bhishma T-90 tanks, BMPs, L-70s, ZSU-23s, Strela, and Loros—arriving in Raipur on October 3. Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh, SSP Shri Santosh Singh, Municipal Commissioner Shri Abinash Mishra, Zila Panchayat CEO Shri Vishwadeep, and other officials greeted the convoy at the main gate of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Zora. The Bhishma tanks and other military equipment, decorated with flowers and garlands, attracted considerable attention as onlookers recorded the moment on their mobile phones. Chants of “Bharat Mata ki Jai” (Victory to Mother India) echoed along the parade route. Military personnel also rehearsed the daredevil stunts, the Khukhri dance, and performances by the military band at the venue.
