Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on Saturday transferred over Rs 20,000 crore directly into the accounts of more than 9.40 crore farmers across the country, marking the 18th installment of the ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’ scheme. The event, held in Washim district, Maharashtra, was virtually attended by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai from the Science College Ground in Raipur. Shri Sai expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for transferring over Rs 566.77 crore to the accounts of more than 24.98 lakh farmers in Chhattisgarh as part of the 18th installment. He extended his congratulations and best wishes to the farmers of the state.
“This time, 66,485 more farmers have benefited from the scheme compared to the previous 17th installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi.
