Inaugrates three power sub-stations, enhancing electricity access for 11,000 consumers
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday unveiled development projects worth Rs 8.55 crore in Bagiya village of Jashpur district. This includes the construction of three new power sub-stations in Kunjara, Dhokra, and Sahidand, with a total investment of Rs 7.84 crore. Besides, Chief Minister inaugurated a sub-regional store in Kunkuri and a new tehsil office building in Sanna.
The establishment of these three power sub-stations in the Kunkuri region will alleviate power supply issues for local residents, ensuring quality electricity for 11,000 consumers in Kunkuri and 70 nearby villages. Meanwhile, the new tehsil office building in Sanna will expedite the resolution of revenue-related matters.
Chhattisgarh State Electricity Distribution Company officials stated that the Dokra sub-station serves over 3,500 consumers across 25 villages, the Kunjara sub-station supports approximately 3,850 consumers from 23 villages, and the Sahidand sub-station caters to 4,270 consumers in 22 villages. Each of the three sub-stations is equipped with a 3.15 MVA power transformer.
Moreover, the establishment of the sub-regional depot in Kunkuri will streamline the supply of transformers and other electrical equipment. Previously, supplies were transported from the Bishrampur regional depot in Surajpur district, located 150 to 200 kilometers away, which resulted in delays and increased costs. The new mini depot in Kunkuri will drastically reduce distance and enhance the availability of electrical equipment.
District Panchayat Vice President Shri Upendra Yadav, Shri Bharat Singh, former MLA Shri Rohit Sai, DDC Shri Salik Sai, Shri Bhuneshwar Singh Keshar, Shri Aman Sharma, Shri Ramdev Kayta, Shri Thakur Purushottam Singh along with local public representatives were present at the inauguration ceremony, attended by a large number of villagers.
