Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain observed the working system of the State Data Center and expected that the data should be exchanged in coordination with PM Gati Shakti and all the departments of the state government should make maximum use of this app in the implementation of public welfare schemes of the state. Chief Secretary Shri Jain expressed satisfaction over the activities of the data center and directed to send a proposal for the expansion of the center. Principal Secretary of Science and Technology Department Shri M. Selvendrum and MD of MP SEDC Shri Ashish Vashisht and Project Director, SWAN Shri Anshuman Raj were also present on the occasion.

Chief Secretary Mr. Jain closely reviewed the functioning of the data center. He inspected the drone data depository and observed online work being done for projects such as minerals, Jal Jeevan Mission, rural roads, and Central Vista. He also inquired from the Gwalior Patwari present on the spot about creating maps using modern technology.

Chief Secretary Mr. Jain described this project as important for the public. He said that it is heartening and commendable to see his vision of creating maps of mapless and displaced villages through the GIS Lab being fulfilled with quality. He directed that experts be appointed for the GIS system in all districts and that information be gathered about the work being done in the 28 districts where this facility is currently available.

He took a detailed review of the efforts being made to combat cyber attacks. The Chief Secretary commended the team of MPSEDC and MP SIRT for identifying an organized attempt to hack the state data center, tracing its source through reverse engineering, and taking effective action to sanitize the identified intrusions. Additionally, the team assisted the Government of India in identifying similar hacking attempts across the country and played a key role in issuing advisories to prevent them. As a result of these efforts, the facility has now gained national recognition and reputation.

Chief Secretary Mr. Jain was informed that plans are underway to install AI-based servers and GPUs to expand the data center’s capacity. Chief Secretary Mr. Jain directed that the data center’s operational capacity be increased from 6 to 10 megawatts.

Chief Secretary Shri Jain took information about other apps including MPE Seva application and directed to prepare all the applications within the stipulated period so that they can be used by the general public.
