- CM Dr. Yadav Inaugurates Narmada Jayanti Samaroh
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilisers Jagat Prakash Nadda participated in the Maa Narmada Maha Aarti at Gwarighat on Friday evening on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, offering prayers and performing rituals. Prior to the Maha Aarti, they worshipped Maa Narmada amid auspicious chants and shlokas, performed ’Dugdhabhishek’ and offered lamps (deepdan).
The Maha Aarti commenced at 7:00 p.m. with the resonant Omkar. He said he would perform worship of Maa Kshipra in Ujjain after the Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav formally inaugurated the Narmada Jayanti celebrations across the state with the Maha Aarti. He prayed to Maa Narmada for the prosperity and well-being of the state and extended advance greetings to the people on the occasion of Narmada Jayanti and Republic Day. At the conclusion of the Maha Aarti, 15-year-old Tejaswini Dubey administered a pledge to all present to keep Maa Narmada clean and pristine.
Those present at the Maha Aarti included Union Minister Shri Nadda’s spouse Mallika Nadda, Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, Member of Parliament Ashish Dubey, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu, MLAs Ashok Rohani and Dr. Abhilash Pandey, along with Rahul Thakur, Akhilesh Jain, Ratnesh Sonkar, Rajkumar Patel, former Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Vinod Gontia, former Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities Deepankar Banerjee, Sandeep Jain, Sonu Bachwani, and others.
- Citizens Greet Leaders During Roadshow
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Shri Nadda also held a roadshow from Jhanda Chowk to Gwarighat, greeting citizens along the route. During the roadshow, people welcomed the leaders with a shower of flowers. Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh, Mayor Shri Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu, MP Shri Ashish Dubey, MLA Shri Ashok Rohani, public representatives and a large number of citizens were present.
