A cabinet meeting was held on Tuesday at the Secretariat, chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The cabinet decided to make the registration of residential plots allotted to the displaced people of the Sardar Sarovar Project in the Narmada Valley free. As per the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), the registration fee and stamp duty payable will be reimbursed by the Narmada Valley Development Authority. This will benefit more than 25,600 families. This decision will result in a financial burden of Rs 600 crore on the state government.
- Approval of 2 irrigation projects of Maihar and Katni districts
The Cabinet has approved two irrigation projects in Maihar and Katni districts totaling ₹620.65 million. According to the approval, the Dhanwahi Micro Pressure Irrigation Project in Maihar and Katni has been approved at a cost of ₹53.73 million. This will provide irrigation facilities to 3,500 hectares and benefit 2,810 farmers in nine villages in Maihar and Katni districts.
The Barhi Micro Lift Irrigation Project in Katni district, costing ₹566.92 billion, has been approved. This project will benefit 11,500 farmers in 27 villages in the Barhi and Vijayraghavgarh tehsils of Katni district, providing irrigation facilities to 20,000 hectares.

- Approval for continuation of 10 schemes
The Council of Ministers has approved more than Rs 15,009 crore for the continuation of 10 schemes of 6 departments from the year 2026-27 to the year 2030-31. According to the approval, Rs 115 crore 6 lakh has been approved for 8 public funded schemes of the Finance Department worth less than Rs 500 crore , Rs 5 thousand crore for the Chief Minister Jankalyan (Sambal 2.0) Scheme of the Labour Department, Rs 3 thousand 376 crore 66 lakh for the Assembly Constituency Election Scheme and Establishment and Office Schemes of the Scheme Economic and Statistics Department, Rs 6 thousand 472 crore 18 lakh for the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department’s Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Scheme, Veterinary Science University Jabalpur Block Grant Scheme and Animal Husbandry, Animal Development and Cow Conservation Scheme, Rs 24 crore 70 lakh for the Women and Child Development’s Kishore Kalyan Nidhi Scheme and Assistance Scheme for Domestic Violence Victims and Rs 21 crore for the Minority Self-Employment/Enterprise Scheme of the Backward Classes and Other Welfare.
- Other decisions
The Council of Ministers approved the dissolution of the Madhya Pradesh State Social Welfare Board and the merger of its employees with the Women and Child Development Department.
