The students of the Faculty of Yoga Studies, MATS University, Raipur, undertook an educational tour on Saturday, 4th October 2025, to the Naturopathy Center and the ancient Jain temple located in Nagpura (Durg). The primary objective of this visit was to provide students with firsthand exposure to traditional healing systems, yoga practices, and India’s rich cultural heritage.
During the visit, the students observed various processes related to naturopathy, Ayurveda, Panchakarma, and yogic practices including pranayama. They also interacted with subject matter experts to gain in-depth knowledge of these traditional health systems. The students learned how naturopathy is proving beneficial in preserving health amidst modern lifestyles.
In addition, the visit to the ancient Jain temple at Nagpura allowed the students to appreciate its remarkable architecture, religious significance, and historical background. The serene and spiritual atmosphere of the temple complex left a deep impression on all attendees.
The success of this educational tour was made possible through the guidance, support, and best wishes of Honorable Chancellor Shri Gajraj Pagaria, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) K. P. Yadav, Director General Shri Priyesh Pagaria, Registrar Shri Gokulanand Panda, and Head of Department Dr. Mithilesh Kumar Singh. Their inspirational leadership played a pivotal role in making this journey both informative and purposeful.
The students were accompanied by faculty members — Mr. Divesh Kumar, Dr. Yogesh Kumar, and Dr. Raghav Kumar Verma — who provided valuable guidance and contributed significantly to the success of the tour.
According to the faculty, such educational visits not only enhance the academic and practical knowledge of students but also contribute to their overall personality development and cultural understanding. The students described the experience as highly beneficial, inspiring, and unforgettable.
