The Model Youth Gram Sabha (MYGS) Awards ceremony was held in New Delhi on January 28, 2026. Winning schools and students from across the country were honored. Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj, Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, and Union Minister of State for Education, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, attended the ceremony.
The school’s Principal, Mrs. Avinash Rani, teachers, and students made significant contributions. The school family attributed this success to teamwork, discipline, and leadership development.
More than 28,000 students participated in the event. Participating students participated in the proceedings of the Gram Sabha and Gram Panchayat. The Model Youth Gram Sabha initiative aims to empower youth leadership and participatory governance.
Schools in the district have achieved significant success in the Model Youth Gram Sabha program, organized jointly by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, and the Ministry of Education. Under the program, Model Youth Gram Sabhas were organized in each school, with the aim of developing students’ understanding of local self-governance and encouraging leadership skills.
School teachers Abhishek Tripathi and Raj Roshan (TGT, Social Science) received special training. Under their guidance, the school’s students performed exceptionally well in the Model Youth Gram Sabha, resulting in the school’s first-place finish at the Jabalpur zone level. Subsequently, the school also secured first place in the state-level competition and third place at the national level, bringing honor to the region.
