Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that wheat procurement will begin in the state on April 9th. He has instructed all collectors and SDMs to ensure smooth and easy arrangements for farmers at all procurement centers. Arrangements for drinking water and shade are being made for farmers at procurement centers. Social and charitable organizations should also cooperate in this important and widespread activity like wheat procurement. The year 2026 is being celebrated as the Farmer Welfare Year in the state. The state government is committed to farmer welfare and continuous decisions are being taken to increase farmers’ income. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed these views during a virtual interaction with farmers and representatives of voluntary organizations from the Chief Minister’s residence.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state has adequate gunny bag arrangements. Bringing the per quintal price of wheat to its current level was a major challenge, but we will raise it to Rs. 2,700 per quintal. It is our commitment to ensure farmers receive fair prices for their crops. We want to serve the public, and for this purpose, improved arrangements have been made for wheat procurement at procurement centers.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that help desks are being set up at procurement centers, and control rooms have been established at the district level. The entire system will be continuously monitored from the control room set up in the Chief Minister’s Office. Instructions have also been given to provide information regarding the system to farmers through pamphlets and billboards at procurement centers. The year 2026 is being celebrated as the Farmer Welfare Year. Farmers visiting procurement centers should also be informed about government schemes related to their welfare and interests.
