Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government has given top priority to farmer welfare and implemented effective policies that are bringing lasting and comprehensive changes to the lives of farmers. These initiatives have not only strengthened farmers’ income and confidence, but have also provided new momentum and strength to the rural economy. Realizing the commitment to good governance, a lump sum payment of the difference amount has been made to farmers who sold paddy in the Kharif marketing year 2025-26 under the Krishak Unnati Yojana.
In accordance with Chief Minister Shri Sai’s vision, it was ensured that the amount was transferred to farmers’ accounts before Holi, so that they could celebrate the festival with their families with joy and dignity. This sensitive decision by the government has generated a special enthusiasm among the farmers of Korba district.

Shri Shailendra Kumar Thawait, a farmer from Dadarkhurd village in Korba district, sold approximately 32 quintals of paddy this year, receiving a difference of Rs 23,392. They expressed their happiness, stating that this government decision is in the best interest of farmers and that the timely payment has brought them great relief. They will use this money for their children’s education and adopting advanced agricultural techniques, which will increase both production capacity and income.
Similarly, Mr. Jimmy Rathiya, a farmer from Kaldamar village, said that receiving the money before Holi is no less than a gift for him. He stated that the money received will be used to meet household needs and for the construction of a Prime Minister’s house. He described the government’s timely payment as a symbol of its sensitivity towards farmers.
Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Mr. Sai, the farmers said that this sensitive and timely decision by the Chhattisgarh government has increased the sense of stability and security in the lives of farmers.
