Grand Inauguration of “MATS Khel Mahotsav 2026” at MATS University

The grand inauguration of “MATS Khel Mahotsav 2026” was held on February 12, 2026, at the MATS University campus with great enthusiasm, energy, and sporting spirit. The august presence of students, faculty members, and senior university officials made the event memorable and special.
The program began with an impressive inaugural parade, in which students from various faculties and departments presented a disciplined march past. This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem, creating an atmosphere of patriotism and dignity across the campus. The athletes then took the Sports Pledge, committing themselves to participate in competitions with sportsmanship, fairness, and discipline.
The festival was formally inaugurated by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) K.P. Yadav, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Senior university officials present on the occasion included:

In his address to the students, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) K.P. Yadav stated that sports are not merely a display of physical prowess, but a powerful medium for developing discipline, leadership, self-confidence, and team spirit. He emphasized that sports, along with education, play a vital role in the holistic development of students. Sports teach perseverance, the acceptance of victory and defeat, and the determination to achieve goals through continuous effort.
