In a significant initiative to provide better healthcare facilities even in remote areas of Narayanpur district, the Good Governance Express program was organized in Jatwar, a dependent village of Gram Panchayat Ghamandi. A large number of villagers attended the special health check-up camp and took advantage of the health services.
Villagers from villages like Jatwar, Ghamandi, Kogalin, Orchhapar, Karkabeda, Hikonar, Godelemaka, and Vadapenda, all under the Gram Panchayat Ghamandi, participated in the camp. A total of 107 patients were treated and provided with necessary medications and health advice during the two-day camp.
During the health checkups, 84 people were tested for malaria, of which 15 were found positive. Additionally, TB screening, blood pressure, sugar, hemoglobin, and eye exams were also conducted. Pregnant women underwent special ANC checkups and received necessary advice, which will help improve maternal and child health.

Patients suffering from seasonal illnesses such as colds, fevers, itching, diarrhea, weakness, and pain were also provided treatment and essential medicines at the camp. Villagers were also informed about various health schemes and encouraged to take maximum advantage of them. On this occasion, Ayushman cards were also distributed to 80 villagers under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Jan Arogya Yojana.
A 10-member health team provided services at this health camp, including Dr. Brijnandan Banpuria, Rajiv Singh, Dr. Hemendra Juri, Pradeep Dewangan, Suraj Sahu, Ramnath Usendi, Jaisingh Manjhi, Nakul Potai, Kamlesh Kumar Nag, and Ms. Chandrika Gota. The camp was conducted through the Sub-Health Center, Wadapenda.
The successful conduct of the two-day Good Governance Express program provided villagers with access to healthcare facilities within their own area. This not only provided timely treatment but also increased health awareness. This initiative is proving to be an important step towards providing government services to remote villages.
