IIT Bhilai observed Kargil Vijay Diwas
IIT Bhilai observed Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26 in honors of the soldiers
who fought in the Kargil War. On this occasion, Prof. Rajiv Prakash, Director, IIT Bhilai, and
the IIT Bhilai community paid their respects to the bravery of Indian soldiers who sacrificed
their lives for the country during the Kargil War of 1999. This year marks the 25th
anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The staff of IIT Bhilai who are ex-servicemen in the
Indian Armed Forces (Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force) shared their stories
and experiences during their service period. Kargil Vijay Diwas is a solemn reminder of their
sacrifices and a celebration of their valor, serving as a unifying moment of national pride
and gratitude.
