- The Governor interacted with the Bharia tribe and came face to face with the distribution of benefits and innovation.
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that the objective of the Prime Minister’s Janman Abhiyan and Dharti Aba Tribal Village Excellence Campaign is to expand basic facilities in tribal areas and improve the standard of living. He informed the community present about various government schemes. He called upon the people present to progress by taking advantage of the schemes . He instructed the officials to ensure timely and quality benefits of the schemes to the eligible families. He praised the Chhindwara district administration for being the leader in the country in the construction of PM houses under the PM Janman Abhiyan.
Governor Shri Patel said this during an intimate dialogue with the Bharia tribal community at a dialogue programme organised at Bhodiyapani village panchayat of Tamia tehsil in Chhindwara district on Wednesday.
Governor Shri Patel said that collective efforts are necessary for development. Everyone’s cooperation is essential in the efforts for the all-round development of the tribal community. He stressed on timely diagnosis , treatment and awareness of sickle cell and tuberculosis. He informed that the government provides free medicines to the patients. He encouraged them to take the medicines regularly. In view of the comparatively less number of tribal community affected in the district, he encouraged to make the district sickle cell free. He stressed the need to spread awareness in this direction.
At the beginning of the program, Governor Patel was greeted by Amarwada MLA Shri Kamlesh Pratap Shah and State Bharia Authority Chairman Shri Dinesh Kumar Angaria by placing a traditional peacock crown on him. Local citizens and students, dressed in traditional attire, welcomed him with Saila and Gandi folk dances.

- Discussion with girl students in Kanya Ashram
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel had a cordial discussion with the girl students residing at the Adivasi Naveen Kanya Ashram run in the Gram Panchayat and inspired them to study diligently and move ahead in life and wished them a bright future.
- The Governor distributed benefits of various schemes to Bharia beneficiaries.
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel distributed assistance cheques worth Rs 47 lakh to 11 self-help groups of the State Rural Livelihood Mission. Benefits of Birsa Munda Self-Employment , Tantya Mama Economic Welfare , Chief Minister Dairy Animal , Chief Minister Udyam Kranti schemes and digital certificates to sickle cell patients , food baskets to TB patients were distributed. A certificate of appreciation was presented to Kupuri Bharti, a Class 9 student of Kunwakhuti, for her extraordinary courage in saving herself from violent wild animals.
- The Governor launched the ‘ Swachhata Sathi Wash on Wheels Plus ‘ service in the Panchayat.
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel inaugurated the ‘ Swachhata Sathi Wash on Wheels Plus ‘ service, an innovative initiative of the District Panchayat to implement the Swachh Bharat and Jal Jeevan Mission, in the Panchayat Bhodiyapani. It is noteworthy that this service was launched by the Governor on 26 September 2024. He was informed that under this service, regular cleaning and necessary repairs of individual and institutional toilets are being done at a fixed convenience fee. Currently, by cleaning 55 thousand units of individual and institutional toilets, 50 Sathi engaged in the work have earned an income of more than Rs 55 lakh.
- The Governor inspected Janman Awas and Home-Stay
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel ate traditional rural food at the home of Janman Awas Yojana beneficiary Smt. Rajwati Bharti in Bhodiyapani, Tamia. He inspected the homestay in Chimtipur village. Beneficiary Shri Rooplal Pandaram told him that approximately 15 to 20 tourists stay at the homestay every month. They are making good profits.
- The Governor visited the health camp and organic product exhibition.
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel visited the health check-up camp organized under the National Program for Prevention and Control of Sickle Cell and Non-Communicable Diseases in Gram Panchayat Bhodiyapani of Tamia and interacted with the patients. He advised them to take regular treatment. He encouraged farmer Puranlal Inwati who earned an income of Rs 8 lakh from advanced banana crop through natural farming in two acres. He appreciated the innovation of “ One District One Product ” initiative and “ Patalkot Livelihood Product ” online platform and the organic and natural product exhibition of Agriculture , Horticulture and State Rural Livelihood Mission.
