
A special mountaineering team from Jashpur district has left for the Himalayan expedition. The team includes young mountaineers of the district, Mr. Ravi Singh, Ms. Tejal Bhagat, Mr. Rusnath Bhagat, Mr. Sachin Kujur and Mr. Pratik Nayak. This expedition is not only a sports activity but also an opportunity to showcase the rich tribal culture, nature-based lifestyle and spirit of collectivism of Jashpur at the national and international level.

This expedition is being conducted under the guidance of the Chief Minister of the state, Shri Vishnu Dev Sai. The mountaineering team left from Jashpur for Ranchi, from where they will reach Delhi by train. From Delhi, the team will depart for Jagatsukh in Himachal Pradesh. The team will complete the necessary procedures by 4 September and will go to the base camp on 5 September. Jashpur Collector Shri Rohit Vyas, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Shri Abhishek Kumar and Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) Shri Vishwas Maske were present on the occasion of sending off the team. The officials extended their best wishes to the team and wished them a safe and successful expedition.
Collector Mr. Vyas said that the young talents of Jashpur will bring laurels to the district and the state at the international level through this campaign. Divisional Forest Officer Mr. Shashi Kumar called it a historic initiative towards sports and adventure activities in the district. District Panchayat CEO Mr. Abhishek Kumar, who himself is an experienced mountaineer, gave necessary information related to mountaineering to the team members. He stressed on the importance of safety measures, health management at height and team spirit and inspired the youth.

The citizens of the district are feeling proud and enthusiastic about this campaign. The local organization Jai Jungle Company is one of the sponsors of this campaign. The founder of the organization, Mr. Samarth Jain said that this team is an inspiration for the entire district and will inspire the coming generations towards mountaineering and adventure sports.
This expedition is being led by mountaineers Mr. Swapnil Rachelwar and Mr. Rahul Ogra. The objective of the expedition is not only to conquer the heights of the Himalayas but also to spread the message of environmental protection and de-addiction. This initiative will connect the youth with nature and inspire them to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
