Under the Khelo India Tribal Games, athletics competitions will be held at the Dharampura Sports Complex in Jagdalpur, the Bastar divisional headquarters. Extensive preparations are being made by the administration for this prestigious national-level event, being held for the first time in the country. The track, grounds, spectator gallery, and necessary facilities for the players are being improved at the Dharampura Sports Complex, the competition venue. Besides, arrangements such as lighting, security, medical care, drinking water, and accommodation are also being prioritized so that the players do not face any inconvenience.
Tribal athletes from across the country will arrive in Bastar in large numbers to participate in the athletics competitions of the Khelo India National Tribal Games. This event will not only provide the region’s athletes with an opportunity to showcase their talents, but will also give Bastar’s cultural diversity a national identity. The Bastar District Administration and Sports Department are working in coordination to make this event a success.
