The youth of Parsa village played well against Basen in the PEKB Trophy semi-final. Despite the enthusiasm of the supporters, the Parsa team could not win the match.
In the first semi-final match of the PEKB Champions Trophy held in Salhi, the Parsa team played well against Basen and in a thrilling match, the bowlers of Basen overtook the batsmen of Parsa. Parsa lost despite the support of enthusiastic spectators. The people of both the villages who came to watch enjoyed the interesting match.
A total of 16 teams from nearby villages participated in the PEKB Trophy organized by the courtesy of Rajasthan State Electricity Generation Corporation Limited (RRVUNL) and many spectators enjoyed the thrilling cricket match.
However, Rajesh from Parsa broke this pressure and played a brilliant innings of 69 runs, due to which Parsa’s team set a challenging target of 92 runs in front of Basen in 10 overs. In response, Basen’s opener Shivbaran played a fiery innings of 86 runs. He hit 6 skyscraper sixes and 11 fours in his innings.
Thanks to this explosive innings of Shivbaran, Basen won the match by 8 wickets and entered the final. Shivbaran was declared the man of the match for his brilliant performance. A peaceful and cordial atmosphere was seen outside the ground. People supported their favorite player and their village team with full enthusiasm.
Now Basen’s team has made it to the final. In the second semi-final match, Fatehpur defeated Ghatbarra by one run in a thrilling match. Every moment of this match thrilled the spectators. Fatehpur’s bowlers changed the course of the game and did not let Ghatbarra’s batsmen score more than 58 runs and won the match by one run and took the team to the finals.
PEKB Trophy ‘Inter-village cricket tournament’ started on 14 October at Salhi ground in which 16 teams participated. This tournament was inaugurated with great fanfare on Karma Tritiyaki Tal and many interesting matches were played in the last 10 days. The objective of this tournament was to bring out the interest in sports and hidden talents in the villages of the region.
