MATS University, Raipur, MATS Law School, successfully organized a One-Day National Conference on “Advancing Constitutionalism”

Multidisciplinary Issues and Challenges” on 19th October 2024. The event took place in the BR Ambedkar Block within the university campus.

The conference featured several distinguished guests. *Dr. Sudhanshu Ranjan Mohapatra, Head of the Department, School of Law, GGU Central University, Bilaspur, delivered insights into jurisprudential thoughts on constitutionalism. **Gukulananda Panda, Registrar of MATS University, discussed the relationship between socialism and constitutionalism. **Dr. Haribansh Singh, Associate Professor at Allahabad University, provided historical perspectives on constitutionalism, while **Prof. (Dr.) Yugal Kishore, former Vice-Chancellor of NLU Assam, spoke about comparative constitutionalism. **Dr. Venudhar Routiya, Assistant Professor at PRSU, explored the topic of public morality versus constitutional morality, and *Prof. Dr. Anand Mahelwar, Vice-Chancellor of ISBM, discussed the broader concept of the constitution and constitutionalism.

The conference saw the presentation of more than 100 research papers on various aspects of constitutionalism. It successfully achieved its objective of exploring pressing issues and challenges surrounding constitutionalism from a multidisciplinary viewpoint, engaging research scholars, professionals, and students in thoughtful and meaningful dialogue.
