A review meeting of the School Education Department of Chhattisgarh Government was held today at the Secretariat, Mahanadi Bhawan, under the chairmanship of School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav. Along with reviewing the departmental work, special emphasis was laid on preparing a concrete action plan for the coming years. On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Renu G. Pillai, School Education Secretary Shri Siddharth Komal Pardeshi, Director of Public Education Shri Rituraj Raghuvanshi, and Managing Director of Samagra Shiksha Shri Sanjeev Jha were prominently present.
In the meeting, Minister Shri Yadav gave clear instructions that model schools will be established in all the districts of the state to ensure quality education. Information about schools eligible for setting up model schools should be submitted to the Directorate within 10 days. The Education Minister said that DAV, Ignite and PM Shri schools will be developed as model schools. He took numerical information of schools without buildings and those in need of buildings and asked the officials to do this work on priority where building construction is necessary. He said that the situation of buildings eligible for dismantling should be resolved quickly. He directed to complete minor repair and toilet repair works quickly and on priority.


Minister Shri Yadav said that free textbooks, uniforms, and bicycles should be distributed to students as soon as the new academic session begins. All necessary formalities should be completed in time for this. Minister Shri Yadav directed senior officials to issue a show-cause notice to Shri R.P. Mire, District Education Officer of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, for his indifference to administrative work.
While reviewing the Chief Minister’s Education Quality Campaign, Minister Yadav said that special attention should be paid from the outset to improve exam results in grades 5, 8, 10, and 12. He stated that children in government schools are not lacking in talent . He directed that the department prioritize the latest information on court cases. He specifically discussed the Central Scholarship Scheme, opening bank accounts for students, and obtaining caste certificates, and issued necessary instructions to officials. Regarding pension and pay fixation, Minister Yadav emphasized that no employee should have to wait for their pension after retirement. He directed that all employees’ service books and passbooks be updated by November. Timely benefit payments should be ensured for dependents of deceased employees and retired employees.

The meeting reviewed the status of scholarship schemes, the Chief Minister’s Quality Education Program, the Silver Jubilee Program, and SEZES recruitment. Mr. Yadav said that all these schemes should be continuously monitored and all benefits should reach eligible students on time. Discussing the situation of clerical staff posted in the same location in the DEO/BEO office for a long time, he directed that their posting and branch be changed. The work of these employees should be redistributed.
Emphasizing the need to accelerate the promotion of the PM e-Vidya Channel and the Diksha portal, Mr. Yadav said that digital education should be implemented on a wide scale so that students can benefit from modern resources. Reviewing the posting process at the new DIETs in Surajpur and Gariaband and the ongoing work under the National Education Policy 2020, he said that the provisions of the new education policy should be effectively implemented in the state, which will further strengthen the quality of education.
Senior officials from the Directorate of Public Instruction, the State Council of Educational Research and Training, all divisional joint directors, district education officers, district mission coordinators, and senior officials from the education department were present at the meeting. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Yadav instructed all officials to discharge their responsibilities with seriousness and responsibility and ensure the effective implementation of schemes so that every child in the state can receive a quality education.
