Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai reached the district headquarters on a two-day visit to Narayanpur district of Bastar, where he participated in various programs and gave many gifts to the people of the district. During this, the Chief Minister inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 357 development works worth Rs 351 crore 49 lakh 45 thousand in the district level program of Bastar Pandum organized in the High School ground. Addressing the huge gathering on this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that red terror in Chhattisgarh is on the verge of ending, due to which development is gaining momentum. This area remained untouched by development for a long time due to Maoism, now innovations are taking place here.

Addressing a gathering held at the Narayanpur High School grounds this afternoon, Chief Minister Sai further stated that, driven by the unwavering commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the state government is continuously striving to free itself from Maoism. He explained that the Niyyad Nellanar scheme has ensured access to various development schemes and activities in over 400 villages in Bastar. Surrendered Maoists are being provided skill development training to integrate them into mainstream society, enabling them to earn a livelihood and become self-reliant. The Chief Minister reiterated his resolve to integrate Bastar into all aspects of development, advancing tourism, agriculture, and animal husbandry. Sai also stated that the state government is organizing Bastar Pandum to preserve and protect tribal culture and traditional heritage. He urged those present to remain connected to the roots of tribal civilization and heritage.
The Chief Minister announced six construction works worth Rs 332 crore.
During this meeting, the Chief Minister announced six construction projects, estimated to cost ₹332 crore. This includes the 125-kilometer-long Orchha-Ader-Lanka-Bedre-Kutrumamed route in Narayanpur, costing ₹250 crore. This is a crucial route connecting Narayanpur district to Bijapur district, connecting villages like Idwaya, Adjum, Ader, Kudmel, Dhodhribeda, Jatlur, Dhobe, Dodimarka, Padmeta, and Lanka in the district’s interior. Similarly, surface strengthening work was announced on the 28-kilometer Rajnandgaon-Bailadila road, which will cost approximately ₹34 crore. This is an important route connecting Narayanpur district to Dantewada district. Similarly, surface strengthening work on the 28-kilometer-long Narayanpur-Sonpur-Marora road, costing approximately ₹34 crore, is also underway. Announcement (Amount- 34 crore 12 lakh) – This route is an important route connecting the district to the Maharashtra border, connecting the villages of Brehbeda, Kurusnar, Basing, and Sonpur. Furthermore, the construction of a high-level access road over the Ghudsal drain on the Brehbeda (Narayanpur)-Kandadi-Kihikad-Murnar-Becha road, with a length of 80 meters and a cost of 12 crore 42 lakh, was announced. He also announced the school setup and buildings for 10 alternative primary schools, Ghamandi, Wala, Jatwar, Nelnar, Rohtaad, Hitawada, Modnar, Toke, Kodtamarka, and Kodoli, started in the interior areas of Abujhmad in Narayanpur district, and the approval of an ashram school building in Toke, which will be completed at a cost of 01 crore 06 lakh rupees. Similarly, a playground was announced in Garanji, the education hub of the district, which will be constructed at a cost of Rs 50 lakh.

In his address at the event, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap stated that under the strong and decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, armed Maoist terror will be completely eradicated from the country by March 31, 2026. Narayanpur district will also soon become Naxal-free and continue its progress on the path of peace, development, and prosperity. He added that under the able leadership of Chief Minister Sai, Chhattisgarh is reaching new heights of development. Through the expansion of roads, education, health, sports, and infrastructure, every village and hamlet is being connected to the mainstream. Revenue Minister and District In-Charge Minister Tankaram Verma stated in his address that Chief Minister Sai has gifted the district with development projects worth ₹351 crore. Under his leadership, the state is achieving new heights of success, with continuous progress in every sector.
Earlier, Bastar MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap, while addressing the gathering, said that tribal culture and traditions have been passed down for generations. Bastar’s culture and heritage have a distinct identity throughout the world. Today’s new generation needs to preserve our culture and traditions. He thanked Chief Minister Shri Sai and said that the government is working to preserve and protect these traditions through the 12-format Bastar Pandum, showcasing tribal culture. The Bastar Olympics are providing youth with an opportunity to showcase their talents and connecting them with the mainstream. Such events will advance tribal culture and traditions, and Bastar will continue to progress on the path of development and peace.

Chief Minister blesses surrendered Maoist couple
Chief Minister Shri Sai participated in the district level program of Bastar Pandum. During this, he observed the tribal cuisine, costumes, jewellery and ancient heritage and talked about preserving them. Under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana, he blessed four couples who had left Maoism and returned to the mainstream and wished them well for their newly married life. The couples who received blessings from the Chief Minister included Kamala Gota of village Podawada and Suklal Jurri of village Ainmeta, Sushila Kowachi of village Kursing and Sunny Salam of village Tushwal, Rita Kowachi of village Poosalama and Maso Mandavi of the same village, Kosi Mandavi of village Dunga and Arjun Singh of the same village. The Chief Minister blessed all the married couples and congratulated them for joining the mainstream of the society.
On this occasion, many public representatives including the President of Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Association, Mr. Rupasai Salam, representatives of Panchayati Raj and urban institutions and a large number of citizens were present.
